TTP militants attack Pakistani forces in Peshawar

Militants from Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) opened fire on Pakistani security forces in the city of Peshawar. The attackers were equipped with USA‑made M4A1 carbines fitted with thermal scopes as well as AKM‑pattern rifles. The assault resulted in several casualties among the troops, though exact numbers have not yet been confirmed.
