Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence announced that it has launched at least two rockets that traveled beyond the 100 km altitude defining outer space. The rockets were released from a transport aircraft that climbed to 8 km before the payload ignited and ascended to space. Lawmaker Fedir Venislavskyi disclosed the launches to RBC‑Ukraine, noting the tests have been ongoing since February 2022. The program aims to develop high‑altitude capabilities for reconnaissance and potential weapon delivery.
