Zelensky thanks Norway for $10.5 bn aid and signs cooperation deals

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met Crown Prince Haakon of Norway and thanked him for the $10.5 billion in aid Norway will provide to Ukraine this year. After the meeting, Zelensky traveled to Oslo where he signed cooperation agreements with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre covering defense, energy and reconstruction. The aid package is among the largest bilateral contributions to Ukraine in 2026 and is expected to bolster Kyiv's military and civilian resilience. The visits underscore Norway's continued support for Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict.
