Australia's Viva Energy refinery fire

A massive fire has broken out at the Viva Energy oil refinery in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. The refinery, which processed around 120,000 barrels per day, was one of only two operational refineries in the country, leaving Australia with just one. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has called on citizens to ration fuel amid a global oil shortage following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Officials are investigating the cause of the fire but have ruled out intentional malice.
