Operators from the unmanned systems troops of Russia's 1st Guards Tank Army, part of the Western group of forces, have conducted successful counter-drone operations in the Kharkov region. During nighttime missions, the FPV drone units identified and destroyed Ukrainian reconnaissance and strike UAVs, downing two fixed-wing reconnaissance drones and five quadcopter and hexacopter drones using airborne ramming tactics. These unmanned aerial defense units work in coordination with electronic warfare services and air surveillance posts to maintain round-the-clock control of the airspace. The operations reportedly rely solely on domestic Russian communication and control systems.
