Moldova to withdraw from CIS in 2027

Moldova has formally notified the CIS depository in Minsk of its decision to withdraw from the Commonwealth of Independent States. The withdrawal is scheduled to take effect in April 2027. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia regrets Moldova's decision to leave the post-Soviet political and economic alliance.
