German minister: Russia not serious about peace talks

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has publicly accused Russia of not taking peace negotiations with Ukraine seriously. He stated that the so-called Russian-Ukrainian peace talks are currently suspended because Russia never genuinely engaged with them. Pistorius also lamented that the actions of 'some countries' have inadvertently helped replenish the Russian budget, likely referring to continued energy purchases, which he sees as undermining support for Ukraine. He emphasized that this situation makes continued military and financial support for Kyiv even more critical.
