Belgorod hospitals lack backup power after strike

A Ukrainian drone strike targeted the 'Yuzhnaya' power substation in Belgorod, Russia, damaging electrical infrastructure and causing a widespread blackout. The outage left multiple children's clinics and kindergartens without backup power because the city administration did not issue instructions to activate emergency generators. Residents reported that Children's Polyclinic No. 4, a children's dental clinic, and Kindergarten No. 69 were all affected, disrupting medical appointments and leaving children without light or water. The head physician of the dental clinic stated the outage lasted about 20 minutes, but the facility's generator was only for providing emergency lighting.
