American journalist and author Chris Hedges has stated that the realization has permeated the White House that the 40-day war with Iran has not gone well for the United States. Hedges argues that Iran has demonstrated through asymmetric warfare that it is capable of inflicting significant damage, including sustained fire, and has already done so to Israel. He also noted that the U.S. aircraft carrier strike group kept itself a thousand miles away from the conflict zone out of fear of Iranian drones and attacks. The commentary, shared by the Pasdaran Cyber Corps, emphasizes that the final decision-maker to end the conflict is Iran.
