IDF expands Bint Jbeil operation with multiple brigades

The commander of the Israeli 52nd Battalion is in critical condition, under anesthesia and on artificial respiration at Rambam Hospital in Haifa after being wounded during intense battles in Bint Jbeil, southern Lebanon. A number of soldiers from the Paratroopers Brigade, including a doctor and a paramedic who were injured while evacuating other wounded, are also hospitalized there. The casualties come as the IDF has significantly expanded its ground operation in the area, deploying multiple brigade-sized units.

Israeli media Yediot Ahronot reports the battalion commander is in critical condition on a ventilator, and that a doctor and paramedic were among the wounded while evacuating casualties.
