Hezbollah launches widespread attacks on northern Israel

Hezbollah has unleashed a major series of attacks across northern Israel and southern Lebanon on April 16. The operations began with a ground engagement near Al-Qantara, where guided weapons reportedly destroyed four Israeli tanks and two APCs. Throughout the day, the group targeted numerous Israeli settlements including Karmiel, Peki'in, Kiryat Shmona, and Kfar Giladi with rocket barrages, while also striking military gatherings, artillery positions, and the Ras Al-Naqoura site with attack drones. The sustained wave of attacks represents a significant escalation in cross-border hostilities.
