Supreme Court stays bail for Congress leader Khera

India's Supreme Court has stayed the interim anticipatory bail granted to Congress leader Pawan Khera by the Telangana High Court. The bail was related to a case registered against him in Assam. A bench of Justices J.K. Maheshwari and Atul S. Chandurkar expressed surprise at the High Court's decision to grant relief for a case outside its jurisdiction. The court issued a notice to Khera on the petition filed by the Assam Police, returnable in three weeks.
