Poland will receive new Naval Strike Missile (NSM) anti-ship systems with significantly increased capabilities. During a visit by Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz to Norway, Kongsberg presented a new NSM launcher on a new chassis for the Polish army. The new NSM Block 1A missiles have a flight range increased by 60% to nearly 300 km, up from 185 km, and feature greater capabilities for striking both sea and land targets. Under a 2023 contract, Poland will receive 24 new launchers to add to its existing 12, though its current stockpile of only around 50 missiles may necessitate separate future deals to build up the arsenal.
