Hezbollah targets Israeli armor in Qantara

Hezbollah has announced a series of anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) attacks targeting Israeli armored vehicles in the southern Lebanese town of Qantara on April 16. The group stated it struck two Merkava tanks at 06:45 and 07:00, followed by a Namer APC at 14:45. In a later engagement at 16:00, Hezbollah claims to have destroyed at least four more Merkava tanks and two armored personnel carriers as an IDF convoy attempted to advance through the town. These strikes represent a significant escalation in direct armor engagements amid the ongoing cross-border conflict.
