Syria takes control of Qasrak Air Base

Syria has announced it has taken control of the Qasrak Air Base in Al-Hasakah Governorate following the complete withdrawal of US-led coalition forces from the facility. Syrian troops entered the base after it was fully vacated by American personnel, who departed in a convoy of military vehicles heading toward the Iraqi border. This marks the final transfer of control of US military facilities in Syria to Syrian government forces, effectively ending the US military presence across the country. The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs had previously confirmed the complete withdrawal of coalition forces from Syrian territory.
