The Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) suffered a fire earlier this week while at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Virginia. The incident injured three sailors in what the Navy described as a "small fire that was immediately contained." The carrier was undergoing maintenance at the time of the incident.
