UK Typhoons intercept Russian aircraft

The UK Royal Air Force launched two Typhoon fighter jets to monitor a Russian long-range military aircraft heading toward UK airspace. The Typhoons were backed by a Voyager aerial refueling tanker and successfully intercepted the Russian aircraft. This incident marks another instance of Russian military flights testing NATO airspace defenses in the North Atlantic region. The RAF routinely conducts such Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) missions to safeguard UK sovereign airspace.
