IDF deploys new Ro'em howitzer in Lebanon

The Israeli Defense Forces have conducted the first operational use of their new Ro'em self-propelled howitzer, also known as the SIGMA 155, in southern Lebanon. The 282nd Artillery Regiment targeted Hezbollah rocket and anti-tank positions, with the IDF stating the strikes were successful. The new howitzer system offers higher rates of fire and greater mobility compared to older artillery pieces. This deployment represents a technological upgrade for Israeli forces engaged in the ongoing border conflict.
