Russian 49th Army air defense secures skies

The air defense groups of Russia's 49th Combined Arms Army, part of the 'Dnepr' military grouping, are conducting continuous operations to secure airspace against Ukrainian aerial threats. Armed with ZU-23 anti-aircraft systems, these units operate around the clock and in all weather conditions to neutralize strike UAVs, aircraft-type drones, and tactical aviation. In a recent example, a ZU-23 crew successfully shot down an enemy aircraft-type drone after being alerted to its flight path.
