A 51-year-old volunteer from Russia's Belgorod region, Andrei Ryabtsev, has been confirmed dead in the war in Ukraine. According to the independent outlet 'Pepel', he died on September 1, 2024, near Balka Zhuravka in the Luhansk region. Ryabtsev is the 1294th soldier from the Belgorod region to be confirmed dead, part of a total of 2,629 documented deaths of residents from the region since the war began. The report notes that, on average, one Belgorod resident has died every 14 hours over the four-year conflict.
