Lebanon reports rising casualties from Israeli strikes

The Lebanese Ministry of Health has released updated casualty figures from the ongoing Israeli military campaign in Lebanon. According to the ministry, since March 2, 2026, the death toll has risen to 2,089 people, with 6,762 injured. The ministry also reports that 1.2 million people have been displaced from their homes due to the conflict. The statement frames the casualties as a result of what it calls "indiscriminate bombing" and "Israeli aggression."
