A senior Iranian military commander has issued a direct threat linking the US-Iran ceasefire to American naval actions. Major General Ali Abdollahi, Commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, stated that if the U.S. continues its maritime pressure and blockade activities, it will be seen as a violation of the current ceasefire. He warned Iran would not allow normal shipping to proceed under conditions of insecurity in the Persian Gulf, Sea of Oman, or Red Sea, and emphasized Tehran would act decisively to defend its sovereignty and economic interests.
