Serbia, Israel to build drone plant

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced a joint venture with Israel to create a drone manufacturing plant. The facility will be 51% owned by the Israeli defense company Elbit Systems and 49% owned by Serbia. Vučić also suggested that the Serbian army should form specialized units equipped with attack drones. This move signals a deepening of defense ties between Serbia and Israel and a modernization push for the Serbian military.
