Iran claims tanker evaded US blockade

Iran's state-affiliated Fars News Agency claims a sanctioned Iranian supertanker has openly bypassed the US naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz. The vessel, capable of carrying 2 million barrels of crude oil, reportedly crossed the open sea and the Strait without hiding, with its location identification system turned on, and entered Iranian territorial waters. This claim directly contradicts the US position that it would not allow any vessel to approach the Iranian coast and anchor in Iranian waters and ports.
