Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a warm introductory phone call with Hungary's Prime Minister-elect Péter Magyar. Magyar expressed his intention to maintain strong ties with Israel and invited Netanyahu to a ceremony marking 70 years since the Hungarian Uprising. Netanyahu welcomed the remarks, invited Magyar to a government-to-government meeting in Jerusalem, and said he expects close relations to continue as they did under Viktor Orbán.
