The U.S. Army has officially designated its new MV-75 Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) as the Cheyenne II. The aircraft is the production version of Bell's V-280 Valor tiltrotor, which won the Army's Future Vertical Lift competition. The V-280 first flew in 2017 as part of the program's demonstration phase, designed to replace the aging UH-60 Black Hawk with greater speed and range.
