India demands veto power in UNSC reform

India has issued a firm warning on UN Security Council reform, stating that any changes must include expanding the permanent membership category with veto power. India's Permanent Representative Parvathaneni Harish argued that creating a new category of members, with or without veto rights, would only complicate the process and perpetuate existing imbalances. New Delhi is advocating for a more representative Council, insisting that genuine reform requires altering the permanent structure itself to address global inequities.
